What is the RCBA Dispute Resolution Service?

The RCBA Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) is sponsored by the Riverside County Bar Association in conjunction with its members.

Our mediators/arbitrators are experienced attorneys -- they have practiced for ten years or more -- and they have met the requirements set by the DRS Board of Directors.

The DRS coordinates the assignment of a panel member for efficient and low cost dispute resolution. The RCBA provides meeting rooms for the private and confidential use by the participants.

Advantages of using RCBA Dispute Resolution Service

Low Rates

The services are provided to the participants for a low rate. The fee is $200 per hour regardless of the number of parties or complexity of the case. Persons who qualify for waiver of the court fees may have their share of the RCBA Dispute Resolution Service fee waived. Visa and Mastercard may be used.

Experience

Mediators and arbitrators are experienced and specifically trained to provide the services you need to resolve your case.

Expert Referrals

The screening process for panel members identifies the area of emphasis or specialization. All referrals are made to attorneys or retired judges who are familiar with the nature of your dispute and the best way of resolving it.

Quick Service

Sessions may be scheduled within days or weeks of a request. The session may even be scheduled for evenings or weekends. Most disputes are resolved in one session.

Confidentiality

All matters are kept confidential unless the parties agree otherwise.

Conflict is Inevitable

It is the obligation of attorneys to resolve the dispute in the most economical and practical fashion available.

However, the increase in volume and complexity of court cases, along with the decrease in funding for the court system, has placed greater pressure on the litigants to resolve the matter through the growing wealth of dispute resolution resources that exist outside the court system.

The benefits of using alternative dispute resolution services include reduction in time, cost, and stress. In most cases there is increased satisfaction of the parties.

It is not necessary to wait until a lawsuit is pending to begin the dispute resolution process. The RCBA Dispute Resolution Service is here to facilitate the resolution of your dispute now.

Any dispute can be successfully resolved. Various types of disputes may be resolved through assistance from the RCBA DRS, including:

    • Business
    • Construction Dispute
    • Contract
    • Discovery Disputes
    • Employment
    • Insurance
    • Landlord/Tenant
    • Personal Injury/Wrongful Death
